Our table!

Yay! Our table is finally done! Riley got this table for us for a screamin' deal before we were even married, we gave it a little paint job, and here it is. We are very pleased. Originally it was a natural color, not really our style. Now the table is black and the chairs are white, perfect.

Last night we painted these pumpkins. They are making a lovely center piece for our new table.

They are called sticky buns because they stick to your buns

Two delicious things have come to pass recently
Number one: Sticky Buns, these were delicious just look at them.

Number two: French Bread, the first attempt
I want it to have more shine. I will try it again, it takes forever but boy its good even if its not shiny as it should be.

Come on, just do it

See that button at the top of this page that says next blog?
Click it, when you are done reading this of course. It's creepy and fun. Many are in different languages, don't give up keep clicking. Today I did found a girl from Ohio who just set up her blog today, her first day at BYU-Provo.
I hope someday somebody clicks next blog and stumbles upon mine.

And Riley told me I smell like a Halloween mask.

Yahoo!

Great find of the day-
For any one suffering from allergies I have a great discovery for you. I highly recommend Target's up and up brand, do they work insanely well...no not necessarily, are they super cheap...no not necessarily but they ARE NEON PINK!!
Neon Pink.
What could be better?
I don't know.

Ok now on to our projects, this one was done quite a while ago but we still love it. We put fabric on the back of this bookcase and put button holes for all cords to go out the back thus eliminating all ugly cords, except that one you can see.

And now here is our project we finished today. We wrapped some fabric from Ikea around a wooden frame Riley built, its pretty stinkin awesome if you ask me.

We make stuff, then either eat it or turn it in to be graded

No, I have no pictures of amazing stuff we have made, school ate us up.
But what I do have is some stuff I think is totally awesome here goes.
This house makes my heart beat faster

I think this arrangement is cool-it may inspire something in our house

These places to sit are also cool

and this is awesome to look at but just think of what it would be like to really use it...yikes

If you would like to see what I thought was cool a year ago check out sydnieiscool.blogspot.com. I still think it's all pretty awesome, especially that pink zebra background...I wonder if that is still floating around the school?

Shorts, Towels and Bread

OK! We have made tons of stuff as of late, here are pictures of just a few.

These are some pajama shorts I made for Riley. The fabric has Ronald McDonald, the Hamburgler, the big purple guy and a cop kinda guy from McDonalds. They crack me up every time I see them. I had been planing on making him some shorts for quite sometime, he wanted to be like his nephew Hunter who is usually in a matching pajama outfit. I went to the store while he was at work and texted him a bunch of pictures of fabric and this is what he picked.

This is the towel display I put in our bathroom. Before I just had red towels with the black hand towels over them but I saw some like this in the parade of homes and I decided to try it. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

These pictures are showing the most delicious bread ever made from my book The Bread Baker's Apprentice. We made half into a loaf and half into rolls. This bread is so amazing, it isn't dry and crumbly like the kind we have made before, it had such an amazing texture and its moist and tastes like good bread. It takes way longer, but it is so worth it. Bread in under an hour is for squares! So other then that we have been very busy, Riley is mid-finals (watch for a giant picture of his face to be posted!) so we have lots of homework. We ran into the Scottish festival the other day that was fun. We also went to the parade of homes, Riley loved it (ha! not really) and as always I am working super hard at work! Till next time!

A blog's new purpose

Because we are awesome we create stuff, all kinds of stuff. I have now dedicated this blog as a shrine of all the amazing stuff we have made. Enjoy.

These here are the profiteroles I made from my new cookbook The Golden Book of Chocolate: Over 300 Great Recipes. Yes, such a thing does exist.

Now you should see a picture of some brilliant looking bagels, I made them. Yes from scratch. Yes, they are boiled. No, they are not hard. I am the bread baker's apprentice after all. Stay tuned for another great Florence creation! Food? Clothing? Board games? Boxes? One will never know.

Natural Progression

This is the natural progression right? Once you get married you start a blog? I thought so. Enjoy.
